Applied Ecological Services, (AES)



A broad-based ecological consulting, contracting, and restoration firm providing services to foundations, governmental units, corporations, and commercial/residential developers nationwide. Staff consultants, consisting of a multidisciplinary team of botanists, wildlife biologists, wetland scientists, prairie and ecosystem restoration specialists and scientists, manage approximately 100 projects per year.

Specific areas of environmental expertise include wetland delineations; environmental permitting; impact assessment; wetland mitigation and ecological restoration planning, inventory of natural resources; prairie, wetland and woodland restoration and management; wildlife, fisheries, and botanical studies; long-term project management and monitoring; ecological and other scientific research; expert testimony and legal discovery.

Field crews with over 17 years of experience in prairie and wetland management are supported with native seed and plant materials by Taylor Creek Restoration Nurseries, the company’s 300-acre prairie and wetland nursery which produces over 400 species of native plants.
