Sean Vollenweider began working with AES as a Restoration Crew Member, gaining valuable project experience about all aspects of the restoration process. Now a Construction Manager, Sean is responsible for project and crew management for AES’ Buffalo, N.Y. office.
Prior to working at AES, Sean received his B.S. in Geography with a concentration in Environmental Science and a minor in Geology. His restoration expertise includes wetland identification, watershed restoration and management, soil science, physical geology, geomorphology, oil and gas geology, and GIS/Remote Sensing.
Sean’s project and field experience at AES encompasses a variety of ecosystem settings. He has worked on projects ranging from riparian/streambank areas to forested wetlands to native meadow creation. He is also familiar with identification, removal and control activities associated with invasive, and non-native species. He has also performed native plant installations and erosion control and maintenance activities for large-scale restoration projects.
