Dustin Wire is a Construction Supervisor working out of AES’ Huntley, IL office. He joined AES as a seasonal employee while attending the University of Wisconsin-Platteville during the summers of 2000 – 2003. becoming full-time in 2005. In 2011, Dustin left AES briefly to work for the McHenry County Conservation District (MCCD) in Illinois. At MCCD, he was responsible for managing 6,000 acres. Dustin returned to AES in 2014 resuming his role as a project supervisor working primarily in the Illinois counties of Kane, McHenry, and Lake.
Dustin has managed numerous work sites, interpreted maps, and managed crews. He has helped to develop numerous innovative techniques to ecologically restore prairies, wetlands, woodlands, and streambanks with methods of fire, herbicide, plantings, mowing, and erosion control devices. He is proficient in ArcGIS, ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcView, Trimble GPS, Atlas GIS, TNT, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and MathCAD.
Dustin is currently working with the NRCS in restoring large acres of monarch habitat throughout the state of Illinois and also as an equipment operator around the Midwest.
