Elizabeth R. Tiller, Ph.D.

Staff Ecologist

Dr. Tiller is an ecologist and educator with over 30 years of experience in applied ecological research, natural resource assessment and planning, technical reporting and grant writing, and environmental compliance. Education and outreach via written materials, formal workshops, and field trips are strong components of her work as evidenced by presentations at a variety of regional conferences, design of teacher workshops, and participation as a member on the National Research Council’s committee on riparian area management. Other work has included teaching positions at environmental education centers and USFWS work on sea lamprey control in Michigan and at a Massachusetts wildlife refuge. She continually builds on her interests through her hobbies of birdwatching, mammal tracking, and nature photography.
