AES’ Matt Parsons Awarded Assured Wetland Delineator Certification

on February 12, 2019

Brodhead, WI – Applied Ecological Services (AES) is proud to recognize the accomplishments of Matt Parsons, who was recently certified by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) as an Assured Wetland Delineator. Currently, there are about 30 WDNR Assured Wetland Delineators in the State of Wisconsin, so Matt’s certification puts him in a select group of the state’s most experienced wetland professionals.

To advance Wisconsin’s goals of protecting wetlands and increasing government efficiency, the WDNR created the WDNR wetland delineation professional assurance initiative. WDNR wetland specialists review training and delineation reports from wetland delineation professionals to assure their work is meeting established criteria. The program’s goal is to provide a high level of certainty about wetland boundaries for project planning and save time in state review of wetland boundaries. Assured delineations can save clients’ projects time and money by eliminating the need for WDNR wetland boundary concurrence review and AES is excited to provide this service.
