Joining AES in 2013, Thomas Gerbyshak is a Construction Supervisor based out of the Brillion, WI office. Since 2009, Gerbyshak is an experienced professional dedicated to natural resources management, habitat restoration, and improving environmental quality. He has been worked in ecological restoration and management for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, AmeriCorps, the Cooperative Forestry Research Unit for the University of Maine, and as an Invasive Plant Technician.
Gerbyshak is well versed in invasive plant control and has sprayed and eradicated plants manually in wetland, upland, and in fragile ecosystems with rare species. His restoration qualifications include equipment operation; plant species identification; GPS/GIS; invasive species control and removal; herbicide application; prescribed burning; chainsaw use; ecological monitoring; and native seeding and planting.
