Dustin Wire began his employment with AES as a seasonal employee while attending UW-Platteville during the summers of 2000-2003. He was a full-time employee from June of 2005 until 2011. In 2011, Dustin left AES briefly to work for the McHenry County Conservation District (MCCD) in Illinois. While working for MCCD, he was responsible for managing 6,000 acres. Dustin returned to AES in 2014 to resume his role as a project supervisor working primarily in the IL counties of Kane, McHenry, and Lake.
Dustin has managed numerous work sites, interpreted maps, and managed crews. He has helped to develop numerous innovative techniques to ecologically restore prairies, wetlands, woodlands, and streambanks with methods of fire, herbicide, plantings, mowing, and erosion control devices.
