Dr. Craig Straub is a Senior Ecologist with more than 23 years of experience in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystem reconstruction. He has managed complex projects related to ecosystem construction, and has an extensive background in preparing planting plans and technical specifications in support of restoration projects. He has conducted several waters of the U.S. delineations and stream evaluations, negotiating the regulatory complexities of Section 404 waters of the U.S. permitting and Section 401 water quality certification.
Craig has also conducted bioengineering workshops, along with bioengineering design and implementation demonstrations for stream restoration sites. He has experience in all aspects of project management, defining scope of work, establishment of budgets and schedules, control of project costs, compliance with schedule, and assurance of overall client satisfaction.
He has developed comprehensive land-use plans involving the return of remediated sites to their natural historic conditions and has designed and implemented ecological restoration plans, including monitoring and maintenance, for wetlands, prairies, riparian and upland forests and streams. He has variously worked within the Midwest, West, Northern Plains, and the Gulf Coast including Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.
