Andy Buss has ten years of professional ecological restoration experience including implementation and construction oversight. He currently selects and manages contractors in the implementation of Ohio’s Wetlands Reserve Program through the Natural Resources Conservation Service by providing construction oversight, surveying, and final approval of all procedures in wetland restoration.
Buss is extremely well versed in erosion and sediment control as well as terrestrial and aquatic planting and provides daily construction oversight for activities including equipment inspection, sub and final grade approvals, compaction standards inspection, and approval. He also has conducted oversight of soil placement and grading of over one million cubic yards of material.
Buss manages crews while performing tasks including site preparation, seeding, planting, erosion control, invasive species management, and brushing. While at Seneca Meadows Landfill (as part of AES’ landfill mitigation and wetland restoration/creation), Andy assisted with wildlife studies, and vegetative and hydrologic monitoring.
