Senior Ecologist in our Pennsylvania Office
Currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to work as a senior ecologist. Primary duties will include assisting the branch manager in managing and implementing a variety of projects including conservation development planning, wetland delineations, habitat and natural resource inventories and assessments, watershed assessments, permitting, natural resource planning, shoreline restoration, soil bioengineering, and other natural resource-related projects.
The selected individual must be committed to science, yet sensitive and responsive to the needs of clients. The senior ecologist must be proficient and comfortable in performing multiple tasks within tight time constraints. Selected individual must be self-starters and comfortable working with limited supervision.
Selected individual must have strong plant identification skills; experience conducting wetland delineations and natural resource inventories; experience preparing restoration plans; a solid background in applied ecology; at least three years project management experience; and experience with local, state and federal regulations regarding wetlands and natural resources. Experience in conservation development planning, basic landscape architecture, water quality monitoring and planning, are preferred.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, project management skills, and a graduate degree in one of the biological sciences are required. Candidates with strong computer skills, including a background in Windows, Word, Excel, GIS and CAD are preferred.
Landscape architects with strengths in areas described above will also be considered.

Staff and Senior Ecological Engineers
Job Duties Summary:
Plans, designs, and directs ecological engineering projects such as stream restoration, wetlands restoration, watershed planning and storm water management/treatment systems for development, and mine reclamation projects.
Education/Experience, Certifications, Licenses:
Masters Degree from an Accredited University in Environmental/Civil Engineering with an emphasis on water quality and hydrology and at least three years related experience including use of one of the following models: XPSWMM, PONDPACK, P-8, HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS. Experience with Vadose Zone Groundwater analysis a plus. Preferred PE, EIT Certification minimum. Valid Drivers license.
Staff or Principal Ecologists
Job Duties Summary:
Plans, designs, and directs ecological restoration related projects such as stream restoration, wetlands restoration, watershed planning and mine reclamation projects. Solicits and prepare proposals for new work. This includes calling on prospective clients, coordinating proposal presentation with AES consultants, preparing proposals and bids for publicly advertised projects, checking and preparing contracts, and approving billings for work complete.
Education/Experience, Certifications, Licenses:
Master's Degree in ecology or related science and at least five to ten years of full-time equivalent professional experience. Able to travel up to 40% of the time.

CAD and Digital Drawing Development Technician in Brodhead, Wisconsin office
Job Duties Summary:
A self-starter, highly motivated, quick learner desired. The position requires supporting a multidisciplinary team including ecologists, engineers, landscape architects, project managers and other personnel to develop CAD drawings and plan or constructions sets for restoration, stormwater management and site design projects throughout North America.
Qualifications include:
2-4 years CAD experience preferably in a construction or design environment.
A degree in Computer Aided Design Management, Computer Aided Drafting or Design Technology, and Applications required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
Familiarity with CAD and Microstation standards required.
Familiarity with Land Desktop and AutoCAD Civil Series required; the ability to cut cross sections, profiles and earthwork volumes required.
Experience with AutoCAD 2004/2005/2006 required.
Experience in layout, drafting, design of layering, reference files, model and paper space and pen tables within AutoCAD required.
Experience with large format plotters and scanners preferred.
In addition, the ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a desire to learn, experience and familiarity with the Adobe production suite, Microsoft office suite, and GIS is a plus.

Position available is for limited term employment with the potential to become full time. This position is 10% office and 90% in the field. Primary responsibilities include: all aspects of restoration work such as planting, seeding, erosion control methods, brush cutting, prescribed burns, light equipment operation, herbicide application, and various other tasks. Company will provide training. Position will require new employee to acquire herbicide applicators license within 3 month of start date. Valid driver’s license required. Full time/Seasonal Crew Members in Prior Lake, Minnesota
The primary function of the field crew member is to complete restoration work in the field by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists in native restoration plantings. Nursery job openings:
Taylor Creek Restoration Nurseries in Brodhead, Wisconsin.
The nursery is seeking 2 individuals for LTE employment beginning immediately to perform a variety of nursery-related tasks, including order fulfillment, transplanting, seed collection and refinement and weed management.
This position requires the ability to use a scissors for cutting vegetation, walk on uneven ground, sit, bend and stoop, and carry tray of plants up to 25 lbs and bags of seed up to 40 lbs short distances. Roughly 75% of the tasks will be performed outdoors. Ideal candidates will have basic plant ID skills or the ability to quickly learn these skills, the ability to prioritize and to perform basic inventory counts (counting, addition and subtraction).
Hours are approximately 40 per week M-F and possible occasional Saturday hours. Though subject to change, positions are expected to run from April 7 – October 1.
